The 2007 edition featured the debut of Special Sound, the official appointment dedicated by “My Special Car Show” to the creativity of car audio sector enthusiasts.
The first edition of Special Sound was held on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 April and met all the goals set, which included the main objective with which the event introduced itself to sector fans: to be an opportunity to come together and swap ideas for all car listening lovers, private individuals and fitters alike.
The two days of Special Sound attracted some 150 participating cars, which in this first edition, were judged according to NGPCA (Nazionali Gran Prix Car Audio) regulations, a universally acknowledged competition circuit that is popular with experts. The event was organised in conjunction with “Ritmi Urbani”, an association founded in 2001 in Emilia-Romagna by a group of fitters and enthusiasts, with the aim of promoting car stereo by organising dedicated events. Continuing the tradition established at the very first edition of “My Special Car Show”, once again this year, “Ritmi Urbani” organised the final of the Special Sound event, between the finalists of the regional heats organised by the association.
In addition to the competitions held within the event (the results with the 66 prize ceremonies will soon be available online), Special Sound was an essential opportunity for fans who had the chance to showcase their work – complex installations and stylish sound performance, unique car audio and multimedia systems – and to exchange opinions on the latest car hi-fi trends at the sector’s main event in Italy.
Special Sound: Notes become music, sound becomes perfection, sound reproduction become art!
