Special Pressure Level immediately became a landmark in the SPL event scenario, thanks to the idea of creating a rally open to all enthusiasts and intended to be an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas, as well as competing, for the SPL community.

Created as a method of measuring the output of professional car audio systems, SPL soon acquired an independence all its own. SPL sound systems are specifically designed using special materials and installations able to generate sound pressures and volumes equivalent to those of a concert system...but all this inside a car!

Special Pressure Level, the event whose debut involved over 100 entrants from all over Italy, was designed specifically for Special Pressure Level enthusiasts.
Special Pressure level, first edition of the «SPL oriented» meeting was on two days, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 April, during which all fans had the chance to see and play freely, as well as measure the output of their systems, by specific measuring instruments (termlab) put at disposal by the SPL Team association that contributed to organising both the event and the largest Italian Internet community for the SPL sector, with traffic of over 500,000 visits per month (www.teamspl.it).
There were over 30 prize ceremonies in this edition, which also hosted the “Bass Wars” finals, using the same regulations as applied on the Special Pressure Level contest arena.
All that remains for us to do is to give you the results of the finals of the 1st edition of Special Pressure Level and say farewell until the second edition, in Rimini, at the 2008 My Special Car Show
