The fifth My Special Car Show opens tomorrow . The 2007 Auto Europa Tuner prize goes to Subaru. Melita Toniolo godmother of the event.

The fifth My Special Car Show, the Special and Sportscar Show, opens tomorrow – a major Rimini feature event until Sunday 15 April.

This year, the area dedicated to the event covers more than 91,500 square metres, with 18 halls (9 dedicated to shows and 9 to rallies). The exhibitors will be 291117 of which from abroad from 20 different countries. Over 2000 cars will be on show, with 221 awards and 14 scheduled meetings and press conferences.
The 2007 My Special Car Show will also see an increase in the number of Car Manufacturers taking part - twelve: BMW with the Mini, Citroen, Daihatsu, DaimlerChrysler with the Mercedes-AMG and smart BRABUS, Fiat, General Motors with Opel, Kia, Peugeot, Seat, Subaru, Volkswagen and Volvo. Joining the Manufacturers taking part will be the Ferrari Gallery which will be presenting the Ferrari F430 Challenge, as well as Ferrari Memorabilia and Ferrari Genuine.
In 2007, the event will set aside 10,000 square metres for the external areas dedicated to activities presented by Subaru and Castrol while, among the events, My Special Car Show will witness the arrival of the Press Rally, Raffaella Govoni Memorial, on Friday 13 April.
Partners of the 2007 My Special Club – the rally dedicated to clubs, now in its 4th year, and which this year counts 1213 participating private vehicles and 131 tuning fan clubs - are AsConAuto (National Car Dealers’ Association) Beta, Mak, SecurPneus and Yokohama. AsConAuto will be presenting awards to the three clubs that come from farthest away and will offer fifty mobility contracts to the fifty cars that receive awards within the My Special Club. Beta, Mak, SecurPneus and Yokohama, in conjunction with the organisers and Radio Stella, will manage the stage entertainment at My Special Club.

Here are some of the very latest updates relating to My Special Car Show 2007:

  • Uiga (Union of Italian Car Journalists) has assigned the "Auto Europa Tuner 2007" prize to Subaru Impreza STI. The presentation ceremony is scheduled for Saturday 14 April at 11 am. Subaru was selected for the major contribution given by the manufacturer to the promotion of road safety among youngsters and for technological innovation, an important part of Subaru’s production strategy.
  • Melita Toniolo, splendid godmother of My Special Car Show 2007 and the protagonist of the Itlaian edition of the Big Brother show in 2007, will be visiting the Rimini event halls on Saturday 14 April.
  • On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Elettromedia, a leading Car Audio manufacturer, will be presenting the first stage of the MTI workshop (Masters Training Institute). MTI will in fact be presenting a free training course in Rimini, dedicated only to operators in the Car Audio industry, to introduce the basic concepts of technical-sales topics which a national champion of Specialised Car Stereo Centres has chosen to address in detail.
  • SkyWay will be presenting Scuola MB Experience at My Special Car Show. This is an initiative designed for Car Audio installers which, during the three days of the event dedicated to personalisation will manage a number of courses for installers centred on the most appealing topics for industry operators.
  • After cooperation at the last Motor Shows of Bologna, Bomb Boogie will also be in charge of the official clothing at My Special Car Show.
