95,365 visitors (5% more than 2006) 6,726 trade professionals  (+39%) and 293 media representatives (+33%): These are just a few of the figures for the fifth edition of My Special Car Show, testifying to the extraordinary  development of the exhibition dedicated to special and sports cars and proving the spread of the passion for customisation –amongst exhibiting companies, trade professionals and the general public – as well as the greater attention legislation is paying to this part of the market.

To sum up the 2007 edition, the event covered a larger than ever display area of over 91,500 m2, the number of exhibition halls occupied rose to 18 (9 of which were dedicated to displays and 9 to rallies) and  there were some 291 exhibiting companies, of which  117 foreign exhibitors from 20 different countries. Over  2000 cars were on show, with 221 awards and   14 meetings and  press  conferences.
The 2007 My Special Car Show saw an increase in the number of Car Manufacturers taking part -  twelve in all: BMW with the Mini, Citroen, Daihatsu, DaimlerChrysler with the Mercedes-AMG and smart BRABUS, Fiat, General Motors with Opel, Kia, Peugeot, Seat, Subaru, Volkswagen and Volvo. The carmakers present also included Ferrari Gallery.
In 2007, the event set aside 10,000 square metres for the external areas dedicated to activities presented by Subaru  and Castrol while, among the events, My Special Car Show 2007 witnessed the presentation of the AUTO EUROPA TUNERprize awarded by UIGA (Italian Motoring Journalists’ Union)to Subaru for  its Impreza STI.

There was an overwhelming turnout on the closing day of the Special and Sports Car Exhibition, which dedicated great space to rallies and award events for the special vehicles that  distinguished themselves during the three-day event in Rimini, and special guests included the world-class motorcycle champion Mattia Pasini who presented the Ma-Fra show on the stand of the car appearance enhancing company.

My Special Club , the rally dedicated to tuning clubs, as usual brought to Rimini a total of 1235 vehicles belonging to private subjects and 131 clubs, and awarded a special prize to the club present with the most participants, which went to the Wacky racers Tuning Club with 43 members – the club from farthest away – the Ascon Auto trophy, which went to Jonio Tuning Club from the province of Cosenza – and the most represented single-brand club – the VW Polo Club with 32 vehicles. Another highlight was the Cover Prize for vintage cars customised in line with the most recent tuning trends and a special award ceremony dedicated to the15 “faithful” clubs that have participated in My Special Club ever since its first edition in 2004.

This year My Special Car Show also launched two new events for car audio fans: Special Sound and SPL – Special Pressure Level. The former included 66 award events including the national final of the Ritmi Urbani circuit, and the latter, reserved for all in-car decibel enthusiasts, awarded 41 creations, including the most powerful SPL setups -War Machine 300 – and the vehicles closest to the SPL category: despite not being specifically outfitted with this aim in mind.

Other popular award ceremonies and trophies were presented at the rallies organised by Elaborare GT Tuning & Sport Magazine – with 28 award events - and the Car & Music Show.
